Chris and Shawna have been attending Lone Star for over five years with their daughters, Dani and Kait. They joined the leadership team as the hospitality coordinators and transitioned to assimilation directors in 2024. They are passionate about making you feel like you belong here and connecting you to your perfect fit within Lone Star.

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

Your first step to volunteering is to register for GROW classes. These classes are a short assimilation into Lone Star Church. After your classes are complete, you can choose an area to help in! 

How do I volunteer with kids?

To volunteer with kids, you will follow the same route as any other volunteer area, except you will also be required to complete a background check when your GROW classes are complete in order to volunteer with kids and students. 

How do I volunteer with music?

To volunteer with music, you will follow the same route as any other volunteer area, except you will also complete an audition for the worship director after your GROW classes are complete. 

What areas can I volunteer in? 

Lone Star Church has volunteer opportunities in the areas of: worship, kids ministry, greeting, hospitality, audiovisual, ushering, parking team, security, social. media, etc.
